Serves: 6-8 servings
  • 1 cup of white corn grits
  • 3 cups of water
  • ¼ cup goat cheese
  • ¼ cup greens onions, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2½ tablespoons butter
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • salt and pepper
  1. Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan and stir in grits. Let grits continue to cook for 5 minutes with the pan covered.
  2. Remove from the heat and stir in goat cheese, butter, sour cream, green onions and basil. Add in milk ¼ cup at a time until you reach your desired consistency. Finally add in salt and pepper to taste.
